Jean Brill

Jean Pretter Brill, 94, passed away on December 25. She was predeceased by her husband William Brill; and her four sisters Barbara Cushner, Ruth Albert, Betty Kuperstock and Joan Mendler.  She is survived by her two sons Martin (Debbie) and Bernie (Linda); along with three grandchildren and a great grandson. Jean was raised in Pittsburgh by her parents Max and Lillian Pretter. She graduated from Penn State University in Home Economics in 1946. Jean was a substitute teacher at Greensburg Salem High School and Junior High. She was a member of B’nai Israel Congregation, Congregation Emanu-El Israel and Eastern Star. For the past 15 years she resided in Harrisburg.  A private graveside funeral is scheduled for Jean at the Congregation Emanu-El Israel Cemetery in Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Congregation Emanu-El Israel, 222 N. Main St, Greensburg, PA 15601 or your preferred charity.
