Ileen Osterwise

Ileen Charlotte Ross Osterwise, 98, of Greensburg, died, Thursday, March 17, 2022, in the Greensburg Care Center surrounded by family.  She was born on October 25, 1923 in Bemidji, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Emma Erickson Coleman.  She was a very active member of Greensburg Church of the Brethren where she served as a deacon and belonged to the Women’s Fellowship. Ileen enjoyed traveling, flower gardening and loved spending time with her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Ross and her second husband, James “Clyde” Osterwise; daughter, Karin Anderson; daughter-in-law, Carol Ross; step-sons James and William Osterwise; grandson, Jeffrey Burton; great granddaughter, Victoria Ross; her brothers, Ronald, Raymond and Donovan Coleman.  She is survived by her sons, Robert “Bob” Ross and Randy Ross (Patti); her daughters, Beverly Joyner (Gary) and Jill Taylor (Steve); son-in-law, Dave Anderson; sister, Carol Utter; she was a beloved Nanny to 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 23, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.  A funeral service for Ileen will be held on Thursday, March 24, at 10am at the Greensburg Church of the Brethren, 554 Stanton Street, Southwest Greensburg, PA 15601.
