Obituary

Donna Lee Plavchak Hornick, 83, of Greensburg, died, Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born in Greensburg on October 25, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles and Sara Simpson Tinsley.  She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John T. Plavchak in 1967  and her second husband, Michael J. Hornick in 2017; her sisters, Doris Alcorn, Sara Hawkins and Lois Beverage; a brother, Robert Tinsley.  She is survived by her sons, Mark A. Plavchak (Carla), Douglas J. Plavchak (Angela) and Bradley M. Hornick (Mary Ann); her sisters, Betty Stout, Shirley Capasso and Linda Wallace; her grandchildren, Emily, John, Taylor, Keona, Landon and Miles Plavchak, Ashlyn and Ty Hornick; also, her sister in law, Delores Pader.  Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Donna’s funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday, April 15, 2022, in the funeral home, with Pastor Brian Chaffee officiating.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 862, Carnegie, PA 15106.  For online condolences, please visit www.kepplegraft.com
