William G. Templeton

William G. “Bill” Templeton, Jr., 81, of Hunker, died Sunday, June 11, 2023 in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe, with his loving wife by his side. Bill was born in McKeesport on September 14, 1941, a son of the late William G. and Alma Houston Templeton. He was a graduate of Hempfield Area High School and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. Prior to his retirement, Bill was employed by Alfrey’s Sausage Company, Mt. Pleasant. Bill loved being outdoors with nature and was an avid hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Templeton, and his sister, Judy Aaring. Bill will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 39 years, Jackie Templeton; his daughter, Kathy Templeton (Skip Lindamood); sister-in-law, Alice Ann Templeton; several nieces and nephews; and his puppy, Riley. Per Bill’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westmoreland County Park Police K9 Fund, 2 North Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601 or to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
