Terry Lee Sproat, 78, of Forbes Road, died, Thursday, July 23, 2026, in Westmoreland Manor. He was born February 21, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Harry Sproat and Evelyn Kelly Sproat.
Prior to retirement, Terry was employed as a railroad bridge foreman and carpenter for CSXT Railroad. He was a veteran and served in the Air Force.
Terry was an avid hunter and liked to reload his own shells. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Western movies. Terry always wore suspenders, and in winter, he wore a toboggan and camo jacket.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Karen Joyce Rimel Sproat and his second wife, Maryann L. Robosky Sproat; his brother, Thomas F. Sproat; his grandson, Cameron Lee Porterfield. Terry is survived by his children, Stacy Lynn Sproat (Matt) and Michael Andrew Sproat (Diane); stepdaughter, Robin Miller; his grandchildren, Breanna, Zach, Brayden, Mykayla, Emily, Kara and Cody; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Walker; several nieces and nephews; also, former son-in-law, Scott Porterfield.
Family and friends will be received from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. A funeral service for Terry will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery where military honors will be bestowed by the Scottdale-Everson Honor Guard.
