Steven Michael Karas, 77 of Pittsburgh formerly of Youngwood and Greensburg passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Steven's message to his loved ones: Well, my family and friends, ever since I became a born again, Spirit filled Christian in 1972, I’ve been looking forward to seeing my beloved Savior, Jesus the Christ, the only Son of the living God, face to face. The Bible says in, 2ndCorinthians 5: 7-8, “… to be absent from the body is to be present before the Lord.” It also says in Revelation 21: 4-5 “… behold I (Jesus) make all things new.” To the Lord in eternity He likens a thousand years to one day here on earth, as it is written in 2ndPeter 3:8. So if you are saved, purchased by His precious blood and knowing that He is your Lord and Savior, I’ll see you soon and very soon according to His truth. Be of good cheer, it may seem longer to you now, but for me it will seem instantaneously, and we’ll be together again. I’m not only in your past my lovelies, but here and now in your heart and in your future. Praise God! We’ll have a glorious reunion, in which to have eternity to enjoy. There will be no time for regrets of any kind. Old things will have passed away and all things will become new. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing, 2nd Timothy 4: 7-8.
