Ruth Atcheson
February 24, 1921 — June 7, 2017
Ruth M. Atcheson, 96 of Greensburg passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Hempfield Manor.
She was born February 24, 1921 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Adda (Dunmire) and Frank Foreman.
Ruth was an active member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church in Greensburg where she enjoyed volunteering and helping with Bible School. She was also part of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Prior to retirement, she worked at St. Anne Home. She also worked watching children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Atcheson; a daughter, Mary Jane Rossman, and her siblings, Helen Sehring, Bill Foreman, and Don Foreman.
Surviving are her children, Eugene Atcheson and wife, Carol, Gary McGinnis and wife, Dolores, and Robert McGinnis and wife, Donna; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held on Monday at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, at 11:00 am with Rev. John Smaligo officiating. (Everyone please go directly to church).
Interment will be private.
