Ronald Stoltz

November 28, 1934 — March 5, 2017

Ronald A. Stoltz, 82 of Mt. Pleasant, went home to the Lord, Sunday, March 5, 2017 after battling Parkinson’s disease and neuropathy, with his beloved wife of 50 years, Shirley, by his side.   He was born November 28, 1934 in Jeannette a son of the late Earnest and Josephine (Zaleski) Stoltz.

Ron graduated from Jeannette High School Class of 1953 and served in the National Guard.  He was employed by the Greensburg Country Club as an assistant golf professional and golf instructor from June 1953 until September 1963.  He had also been employed by the William G. Johnston Company audio visual department, along with Mirage Visuals, until his retirement.  Ron enjoyed all sports, especially golf and participating with his wife in the Westmoreland County Senior Games.  In 1998, he was nominated Sportsman of the Year.

He and his wife enjoyed their bowling leagues and cruises with family and friends.  Church was also very important to Ron.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Fred Weber and two brothers, Earnest and Walter Stoltz.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shirley (Kepple) Stoltz; a sister, Deborah Cycak and her husband, Stan of Latrobe and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.  Additional visitation will take place on Thursday from 10 am until the hour of his funeral service at 11 am in the Congruity Presbyterian Church, 136 Fenneltown Road, New Alexandria, with the Rev. H. Clifton Foster officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Congruity Presbyterian Church.
