Rachel Parker

Rachel Renee Parker, 18, of New Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born May 16th, 1991 to the late Lynda Renchko and Kevin Parker. She lived at home with her stepfather Ken Renchko and brother Ryan Parker.
Rachel recently graduated with honors from Greensburg Salem just three weeks ago. She was captain of the varsity cheerleading squad. She was planning to attend the University of Pittsburgh, Main Campus, in the fall.
Rachel was an avid equestrian. Showing horses with her mother was a favorite activity. She belonged to Stonybrook Horse Club, Foothills Horse and Pony Club, the American Quarter Horse Association, and 4H. She was also a member of Salem Township Gymnastics. She worked at Sonic, and previously at the Four Point Sheraton.
She is survived by her brother, Ryan Parker, step father Ken Renchko, step sisters Ashley and Brittany Renchko, and special friend, Erica Lang. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Carol and Dave Johnson, Shirley Barton, Ken and Katie Parker, and James Parker; cousins Mark Adams, Michelle and Chad Reed, Patrick and Beatrice Ervin, Charles McFarlane, Nina, Mia, and Leah Pivirotto, and Marcie Elliott; second cousins Adam Toth, Alexiss, Michael, and Taylor Elliot, Olivia Adams, Hunter McFarlane, Jesse and Josh Reed, and Jakob Ervin. Grand parents Zigmund and Eileen Barton, and Richard and Lucy Renchko survive her. Helen and John Clemens, and Francis and Kenneth Parker precede her in death. Rachel will not only be missed by her family, but also by her friends who were such a special part of her life.

A gathering for Family and friends will be held on Monday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave. Greensburg followed by a memorial service at 1:30 pm with Rev. Donna Harvisko officiating.
In honor of her mother, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Any flowers will also be accepted at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
