Philip Jamison

Philip Rodgers Jamison, 71, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 in Green Meadows Assisted Living, Latrobe. He was born June 13, 1938 in Greensburg a son of the late Richard H. Jamison, Jr. and Esther Rodgers Jamison.
Mr. Jamison was a graduate of Greensburg High School Class of 1956 and attended Lehigh University. During his professional career he was involved in the coal industry. Most recently, he served as president of Beard Technologies, Pittsburgh. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Greensburg. Mr. Jamison was also a veteran of the US Army. He was an avid golfer and a member of Ligonier Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Lee (Strader) Jamison; two sons, Philip R. Jamison, Jr. and wife Catherine of Glen Rock, NJ: Ken Jamison and wife Christine of Devon, Pa; a daughter, Mary Rutherford and husband Dr. Matt Rutherford of Charlottesville, VA; four grandchildren, Philip R. Jamison, III; Anna Jamison, Lilian Jamison and Hannah Jamison; three sisters, Josephine Harmon and husband Jack of Pittsburgh; Mary Boneno and husband Barry of Winston Salem, NC; Marguerite Roche of West Palm Beach, FL; and a sister in law, Suzon Jamison of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Emily Jamison; and two brothers, Richard H. Jamison,III; and John R. Jamison.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am in Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Lawrence Knotts officiating. (Please go directly to the church.) Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.
