Peggy J. Komarinski

May 3, 1933 — December 28, 2023

Peggy J. Komarinski, 90 of Greensburg passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023.  She was born May 3, 1933 in Somerset a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Zufall) Baker.

Early in her career, Peggy was an Operator for Bell Telephone and also worked as a secretary for Kenametal.  Above all, she cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. To Peggy, family was everything!  As a couple, she enjoyed going dancing and bowling with her husband, Daniel.  Anytime the family was around she relished playing cards, games and dominoes.  An avid reader, Peggy also found time for swimming and water aerobics.  She was also known for her great cooking, especially soup.  

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Komarinski on March 12, 2017, three grandsons, Daniel Levi Komarinski, Peter Leo Brunetta and Michael William Komarinski, daughter in law, Susan Komarinski and two brothers, Barry and Dennis Baker.

She is survived by her cherished children, Daniel B. (Cindy) Komarinski, Sandra J. (David) Gantose, Mary Ann (David) Brunetta, Matthew A. (Tina) Komarinski, Judy L. Komarinski, Michael W. (the late Susan) Komarinski and Karen L. Komarinski; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, her sister, Patricia Gerhiem and several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Jan. 2 from 4 to 8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg where Prayers will be offered at 9 am Wednesday, Jan. 3 followed by her funeral Mass at 9:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.   Online condolences are welcome at www.kepplegraft.com.
