Paul William Kraus

Paul William Kraus, 71 of Murrysville, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Forbes Hospital. He was born January 2, 1955 in Homestead, a son of Elizabeth Cook Kraus and the late William Daniel Kraus. Paul was an avid runner who ran for Penn State when he was in college and many marathons including the Boston Marathon. Prior to retirement, he worked in accounting for Best Products and Coca Cola in Richmond Va, and he worked at his father's bakery, Quality Bakery in Jeannette. After retiring he enjoyed woodworking, in particular making wood American flags. Paul will be missed and will be most remembered for being kindhearted and generous. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Martin Kraus.Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Betsy Garrity of Murrysville; mother, Elizabeth Kraus of Greensburg; sister, Carol (Fran) McDowell of Greensburg; sister, Kristi (John) Bradosky of Bradenton, FL; brother, Karl (Carol) Kraus of Sykesville, Maryland; sister, Amy Kraus of Youngwood; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Sunday, May 31, 2026 form 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N.
