Lourdes Leonida

Lourdes Bolante Leonida, 70, of Greensburg (Unity Township), died Saturday, July 15, 2017 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  She was born on June 4, 1947 in Claveria, Cagayan, Philippines, a daughter of the late Pablo and Amparo Nebab Bolante. Lourdes was a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish, Greensburg.  She was employed as the office manager for her family’s medical office, Efren Leonida, MD Family Practice in Mt. Pleasant. Lourdes had a heart for God, her family and her friends. She was a caring and devoted grandmother to her 11 grandkids.  Her many philanthropic works testify to her compassion for those in need, at home as well as around the world. She loved to watch sports, in particular tennis, golf, hockey and football.  The Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers had a true fan in Lourdes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Romeo Bolante and Dr. Henry Bolante.  She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dr. Efren Labay Leonida; her children, Dr. Efren B. Leonida, Jr. (Jennifer) of Greensburg, Edgar Leonida (Shelly) of Arlington Heights, IL, Dr. Alexander (Dr. Tiffany) of Lincoln, NE, and Lisa Ismail (Zane) of Arlington Heights, IL; her siblings, Lydia Franken of Dallas, TX, Dr. Menelio Bolante of Holmdel, NJ, Elsa Azaula of Atlantic City, NJ, Helen Ledda of Torrance, CA and Pablo Bolante, Jr. of the Philippines; her 11 grandchildren, Mackenna, Cooper, Hunter, Parker, Ariana, Isabella, Evan, Lucy, Myriel, Talia and Zoe.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Parting prayers will be held on Saturday at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 1001 Mt. Pleasant Road, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.  In remembrance of Lourdes Leonida, those who wish may make contributions to Parent Life, Youth for Christ Ministries in Lincoln, NE.
