Karen A. Hillwig

Karen A. Hillwig, 76 of South Greensburg, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at her home.

She was born January 28, 1950 in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of the late Woodrow Long and Elizabeth Yeager Long. Karen was a longtime member of Hempfield Church of Christ. Prior to retirement, she worked as a housekeeper at Westmoreland Manor for over twenty years. Karen loved traveling with her husband to see lighthouses all around the United States. She especially loved visiting Ocean City, Maryland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on November 6, 2025 by her husband, Donald William Hillwig with whom she would have celebrated 50 years on May 13th, 2026. Surviving are her children, Julie Hillwig, Rhett Shuster (Darla) and Mark Shuster; siblings, Patty Garris, Gary Long, Barbara Long, and Richard Long; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 4 pm until the hour of service at 6 pm in KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.

Private interment will be held in Hillview Cemetery.
