On Thursday May 29th, Judith Ann Laughlin 79, of Greensburg passed away unexpectedly but peacefully. Judy was known for her love of gardening, music and animals. She loved walks in the woods and mornings at Twin Lakes with her friend Carol. She had an adventurous side. She loved going to Celtic Thunder concerts and cruises. She white water rafted, helicoptered over a volcano and rode in an air balloon. She liked to travel whether gathering shells on Sanibel Island, climbing ruins in Mexico, jumping waves in Nags Head, walking the rainforest in Puerto Rico, or renewing her vows in Ireland, she knew how to make the most out of life. Judy played guitar on her blonde Gibson and her oil paintings adorned most walls in her house.
She worked for many years with friends Janie, Janie and Neva at JC Penney in fine jewelry in Greengate Mall and then as an executive secretary at Forbes Regional Hospital.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Patrick Laughlin, her son Brian Laughlin who was lucky enough to move back here 2 years ago and spend time with his mom, and her daughter Rhonda Laughlin who had the privilege of working with her mom at her optometric office as her everything but most currently as office manager. She adored her granddaughters Elizabeth, Natalie and Olivia Christopher whom she never missed a play or program they were in. They had their tea parties and scavenger hunts even as the girls are in their twenties.
Judy is preceded in death by her father William Hauck. She is survived by her mother 101 yr old Billie Hauck, her sisters Sandy Hauck and Pamela (Hauck) Lutz, her nephews Sean Hauck (wife Tonja) and Benjamin Pidgeon (wife Allyson), and niece Candace Pidgeon. She loved her family which also included grand nieces and nephews. She had many dogs and cats throughout her life and those surviving Markie, Loki and KC and her beloved horse Shamrock will be missing her.
