Jay E. Woodward, 84, of Greensburg, passed away on January 1, 2023, at home, with his loving wife, Sue, steadfastly at his side. Jay was born September 16, 1938 in Greensburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Goldie Woodward, and his first wife, Nancy Halsall. A graduate of Point Park University, Jay was an avid coin collector and proud owner of Iron City Coin Company for 57 years. He had a long career at Rockwell Intl. and Sensus Technologies. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg where he served as an Usher and Deacon. Jay loved to golf with his friends and family, especially his grandson, Alex. He was quick to laugh and told the best dad jokes. In addition to his wife, Sue, he is survived by his children, Jeff (Tammy) Woodward, Caroline Woodward, Rebekah Fry (Adam Fox), and Mark Fry; his sister, Marjorie Steadman; and niece, Lynn Tapp (Bill). He is also survived by his grandsons, Alexander, Victor, and John whom he adored beyond words. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 1pm in the First Presbyterian Church 300 S. Main Street, Greensburg with Dr. Rev. Martin R. Ankrum officiating. KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Dr. Edgar S. Highberger Memorial Music Fund at P.O. Box 1038, Greensburg, Pa 15601 or Wildlife Works 836 Chestnut Street, Youngwood, PA 15697.
