James Horning Jr

James L. Horning Jr. 95 of Woodston, Rector died Friday March 2, 2018 in the Hempfield Manor.

Jim was born in Greensburg on November 15, 1922 and was the son of the late James L. Sr. and Effie Durst Horning.

Jim was the former owner of the Horning Printing Company in Greensburg for many years. He had attended the St. Michael's of the Valley Church in Rector and a member of the Westmoreland Polo and Hunt Club in Greensburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Doris Matthews Morley, Grace Herbert and Patricia Moore.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.  Jim's family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Hempfield Manor, Bridges Hospice and to his neighbors.

Honoring Jim's request the family will have a private graveside service in the St. Clair Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626.
