James Marshall "Jay" Caughey

James Marshall “Jay” Caughey, 86 of Greensburg passed away, Friday, May 26, 2023.  He was born November 14, 1936 in Pittsburgh a son of the late James and Agnes (Cadzow) Caughey.

Jay had been employed as an Auctioneer and the Marketing Director for Western Sales. Later in life, he worked for Home Depot.  He was a veteran of the US Navy, was a member of the First Baptist Church, Greensburg and was a former Mason.  Jay was a master at everything he did especially carpentry.  He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and Texaco trucks.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lee (Taylor) Caughey, his children, Jim Caughey (Marcie), Shawn Caughey (Marcy), Todd Caughey (Pam) and Matthew Caughey; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Roger Caughey; sisters-in-law, Cathy LeBar (Dr. Stephen), Debi Williams (Pat), a number of nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, KK.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Caughey and a sister, Nancy Malis.

There will be a gathering of family and close friends on Wednesday, May 31 from 3 to 4 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg with a Memorial Service at 4 pm officiated by Dr. Stephen LeBar and Pastor Scott Jones.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or the First Baptist Church 1228 Armbrust Brinkerton Rd, Greensburg, PA 15601.  Online condolences are welcome at www.kepplegraft.com
