Jack Greiner

John Wesley “Jack” Greiner, of Greensburg, passed away on December 1, 2023, at Greene Rehab & Health, where he had been recovering from a recent surgery.

He was born on March 6, 1933, in Jeanette, a son of the late John Karl Greiner and Gladys Best Greiner. Jack loved his faith, his family, his friends, and Penn State football.  Jack was a graduate of Jeanette High School and Pennsylvania State University.  His sales career in the tire industry spanned more than 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Marker Greiner, his infant daughter, Mary Marker Greiner, his sister, Betty Jean Sunder, and brother-in-law, Richard Sunder. He is survived by his son, John K. Greiner and wife, Nadine; daughters, Ellen Greiner Griffin and husband, Steve; and Lisa Greiner Warner and husband, Jeff; beloved grandchildren, Mara Barry (Patrick), Ian Greiner (Kyra) and Emma Greiner; Hannah Lonati (Stephen) and Jake Griffin; and Jack Warner, Luke Warner and Kate Warner and three great grandchildren, Ella Barry, Sabrina Barry and Waylon Greiner.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many dear friends, including Monsignor Lawrence Kiniry, with whom he shared a faith filled friendship of more than 50 years.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 4, from 4 - 7 PM  at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. A prayer service will be held at 9 AM. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, DePaul Center, 144 DePaul Center Road, Greensburg, PA 15601; or to The Bethlehem Project of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 North Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.
