Florence Louise Mesich

Florence Louise "Sis" Mesich, 79 of Bovard, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was born May 21, 1947 in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Dorothy "Dot" (Reed) Dwyer. Flo was a member of Luxor Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and had an extensive cookbook collection. Sis also had a gingerbread collection before it was trendy. She loved flowers especially orchids. She worked in a flower shop in her youth and continued to enjoy gardening and having new flowers in her yard each year.

Sis was a 1965 graduate of the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to retirement, she worked as a registered nurse at Jeanette Hospital. Over the years she worked in ICU, CCU, Step Down and finished her career in The Family Birthplace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Mesich. Surviving are her son, George D. Mesich; daughter, Heather Schultz and husband, Dennis; her granddaughters who she adored and thought the world of: Nina (Elijah Losier) and Macy Schultz; and her brother, David Dwyer and wife, Julie.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 3 to 7pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601. Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 10:30 am with Pastor Tammy Falcsik officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Luxor Methodist Church PO Box 114, Luxor, PA 15662. For online condolences and information, please visit www.kepplegraft.com.
