Florence “Flossie” Lauffer Marsh, 94, of Latrobe, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 27, 2025. She was born on January 5,1931 in Paintertown, PA to the late Jessie and Marian Lauffer of Irwin, PA. Flossie graduated from Greensburg High School and Waynesburg College and taught second grade in San Bernadino, CA and Youngwood, PA. After returning to Greensburg, PA, she married Tom Marsh and made being with her family the center of her life. She loved raising her children, spending quality time with her husband, friends and traveling the world. She loved playing the piano with her family gathered around singing and continued playing the piano throughout her whole life. She enjoyed playing tennis, photography, cooking and playing bridge and cards. After her husband and his brothers sold Perfection Photo in Greensburg, they moved to Key Largo, FL, where Mom worked as a Photojournalist for The Keynoter newspaper. Years later they moved to Jupiter, FL and traveled to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, on a spiritual pilgrimage, which made profound changes in their lives. Following Tom’s death, Flossie spent years traveling back and forth visiting her children, grandchildren and friends. She eventually settled in Latrobe, PA. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Thomas C. Marsh, her brother Holmes Lauffer and their son Thomas A. Marsh. She is survived by her four children, Tara (George) Post from Clyde, NC, Mimi (Tom) Pitzer of Wake Forest, NC, Jenny (Steve) Pachesky of North Huntingdon, PA, and Mark (Cheryl) Marsh of Mount Juliet, TN. Her Grandchildren: Alexis Pachesky, Sarah (Brian)Moeller, Stevie Pachesky, Tommy Pitzer, Abby Post (Cody Evans), Carli (Andy) Plemmons, and Nathan (Jitra) Post, Grandpup: Samantha “Sammi” Marsh. Great Grandchildren: Willow, Ripley, Summer and Jayden. Relatives and Friends of Flossie will be received from 5-7pm, Friday August 22, 2025 at Kepple Graft Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Vincent Basilica, Latrobe, PA 15650 at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025, followed by burial at Brush Creek Cemetery in Irwin, PA.
