Doris Alcorn

December 18, 1927 — May 10, 2018

Doris M. (Linville) Alcorn, 90 of Greensburg, died Thursday, May 10, 2018.  Doris was born December 18, 1927 in Luxor a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Thomas) Linville and a granddaughter of the late Frank and Olive (Palmer) Thomas and Lucy Linville.

Doris was the beloved wife of the late Herbert B. Alcorn. They were married February 14, 1947 and had 50 years of love and friendship.  Doris was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg.  Doris had a love of ceramics and built a business in her home teaching others.  She also had a love of crafts and made many wonderful items on her sewing machine.

In addition to her husband, Herbert, she was preceded in death by an infant son, David Allen Alcorn, brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Benjamin Linville and a sister, Jean Richter.

She is survived by her sons, Larry H. Alcorn (Pam Huber) of Belle Vernon and Lynn A. Alcorn (Nancy) of Greensburg. Doris was blessed with four wonderful grandsons, Jeremey (Ardriana) of Alexandria, VA; Keith (Casey) of Reading; Luke of Jacksonville, FL; and Jason (Brook) of Allen, TX; three great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.  She is also survived by a brother Donald (Hazel) Linville and sisters, Betty Lou (Bob) Domasky, Shirley Jenkins and Joann Close along with many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 3 to 7 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.  Private interment will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  To share a message of sympathy, please visit www.kepplegraft.com
