Donald Eicher
February 13, 1926 — August 23, 2010
Donald Eugene Eicher, 84 of Greensburg, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 in Excela Jeannette Hospice.
He was born February 13, 1926 in Ligonier, a Son of the late Frank and Winifred Eicher.
He served as a tail gunner in the Army Air Corp. in World War II with the rank of Sergeant.
Before retiring, Don worked at Equifax Inc . He was an avid golfer and member of the Chestnut Ridge Golf Course for many years.
A loving and devoted husband and father he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Gillespie Eicher; four Sons, Jeffrey Eicher & wife Susan of Pittsburgh, Eric Eicher & wife Cynthia of Silver Spring, MD, Bryan Eicher of Keller, TX. and Jason Eicher & wife Ana of Southlake , TX. and five Grandchildren, Jacob, Jesse, Ryan , Daniel and Benjamin.
Family and friends will be received 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main St. Greensburg.
A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home, on Wednesday, at 8 PM with Rev. Keith Solomon officiating.
Private interment will be in St. Clair Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John Baptist DeLaSalle Catholic Church , 497 Athena Drive Delmont. PA in Don's memory.
