Daniel R. “Dan” Wineland, 90, of Greensburg, died, Sunday, January 15, 2023 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1932, in Greensburg, a son of the late Raymond J. and Isabelle I. Smeltzer Wineland. He was an Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a welder for Walworth Foundry. Dan enjoyed watching gameshows, woodworking and welding. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Roger W. Wineland; and his siblings, John, Marshal, Carl, Ruth and Delores. He is survived by his wife, Ednamae Steiner Wineland; his children, Ronald E. Wineland, Linda M Sedlak (Henry) and Glenn A. Wineland (Tricia); his sisters, Darlene Weyandt and Patricia Pfeil; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; also, a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. A funeral service for Dan will be held on Friday at 10 am in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Those attending are asked to please where a mask.
