Daniel Barger

Daniel Warren "Boone'' Barger passed away early on the morning of Feb 23rd, 2022.  Born on Jan 7th, 1963 Daniel was a mechanic for many years at the family owned B & B Alternator.  A lover of all things outdoors, he was happiest when the hustle and bustle of daily life was left behind and he could just relax in a wooded setting.  Known for playing Santa Claus for different organizations including, Big Brothers and Sisters of Greensburg, the twinkle in his eye during these interactions left no doubt he was doing exactly what he was meant to do. Daniel was also an avid motorcyclist and often looked forward to the annual Bike Week in Daytona Beach.  He was preceded in death by his father J. Daniel Barger and is survived by his wife, Deborah Barger; his mother, Linda Barger; brother, Ron Barger and his wife, Olivia; brother, Bob Barger and his wife, Barb; son, Ken Gustafson and wife, Ellen; son, Tony Gustafson and wife, Heather; daughter Holly (Barger) Shaneyfelt and her husband, Allen, as well as grandchildren, Addyson, Kaleigh, Evan, Makenzy, and Jackson; along with several nieces and nephews. “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”  A private service for the family will be held at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home. A remembrance gathering to be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at West Point (Greensburg) Firehall at 1:00 p.m. for family and friends.
