She was born October 8, 1943 in Greensburg and was the daughter of the late Samuel G. Matthews Sr. and Doris Horning Matthews Morley. Carol was the owner of American Indian Jewelry Store in Ligonier and a member of Alpha Ministries in Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel G. Matthews Jr., Dr. Ted A. Matthews, and Keith B. Matthews.
Carol is survived by her brother, Dennis (Mary Ann) Matthews; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mountain View Senior Living and Redstone Hospice was their outstanding care.
Honoring her wishes there will be no public visitation. Private interment will be held in St. Clair Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to Alpha Ministries Church, PO Box 1706, Greensburg, PA. 15601.
