February 15, 1942 — January 4, 2026

Calvin E. Pollins Jr., 83 of Greensburg, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was born February 15, 1942 in Greensburg, the son of the late Calvin E. Pollins Sr. and Frances Jane Denney Pollins. Calvin was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a faithful member of the Greensburg YMCA where he enjoyed friendships as well as swimming. Calvin was a loving Papa to his two little granddaughters with whom he shared his time, his playful energy and his sweet tooth. Papa always had candy in his pocket. Prior to his retirement Calvin worked for forty-four years as a sales representative with Beckwith Machinery Co - later Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. The seventh generation to live there, Calvin lovingly cared for his family's Bicentennial Farm and was always happiest when on a tractor or driving one of his trucks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Denney Johnson and Virginia Lee McCrary. He will be greatly missed by his wife of forty-five years, Mary Frances Boothby Pollins; daughter, Mara Pollins Costello and her husband, Drew Costello; granddaughters, Alba Eve and Ever Grace Costello; sister, Ann Pollins Thompson; and brothers-in-law, David H. Johnson, Sr., Michael McCrary, Robert Boothby, and John Boothby and his wife, Jean. Calvin was loved and admired by his many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church 300 S.
