Angeline (Ross) Sassos, 96, of Greensburg, earned her angel wings on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was born January 15, 1929, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Michele and Colomba Lombardi Colarusso. Angie was a member of St. Paul Parish. She had an impressive series of work experiences at Bell Telephone, Montgomery Wards, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Altmeyer’s, WCCC Book Store, and most recently Big Lots at Greengate Plaza. She also enjoyed her 25 year role as an election poll worker for the city of Greensburg. She was greatly loved by all of her customers and coworkers. Angie loved to travel, cook, bake, spend time with family and friends, and enjoyed going to CLO productions in Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross Sassos in 1993; in- laws, Nicholas and Sophia (Banshak) Sassos; and six sisters, Mary Petrill (Isadore), Christine Iarussi (Joe), Helen Policastro (Ben), Phyllis Damico (Sam), Julia Bononi (Adam), Jenny and two brothers, Roccie Ross (Shirley), and Mike Ross Jr, and sister-in-laws Fran Damico, and Dolores Ross. She is survived by her four children, Marc Sassos (Lori), Milissa Sassos, Nicholas Sassos (Amy), and Amy Jo Kissell (Matt); 12 grandchildren, Megan Toman (Brad), Mallori Culler, Helena Doran (Laird), Laura Kurtz (Shane), Christina Giba (Michael), Olivia Kissell (Jerrod Anthony), Lukas, Ben, John, Sam, Danny, and Lily; and 6 great- grandchildren, Lincoln, Emma, Jacob, Monroe, Lillian, and Francesca; and countless nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. Prayers of transfer will be held in the funeral home on Friday, November 14 at 9:15am followed by mass at St. Paul's Church 820 Carbon Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 at 10am. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clelian Heights School for the Exceptional, 135 Clelian Heights Lane, Greensburg,PA 15601, or Westmoreland Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626.
