Alexander 'Alex' Paul Naggy, 30 of Rillton, passed away, Monday, September 28, 2020.
He was born January 7, 1990 in Latrobe, the son of Randy A. Naggy and Pamela A. Clausner Gibasiewicz (Jeff).
Alex graduated from Hempfield Area High School and earned a Business Degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He was an all-around athlete and followed just about every sport, especially Pitt football, Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates, always knowing the stats and having strong opinions on what a team needed to do to win! Alex was an avid golfer and a member of Hannastown Golf Club.
He was a fun guy who was always making everyone laugh. Alex always had a smile on his face, and had a distinct giggle when he laughed. If he loved you, you knew it. He wasn’t afraid to give you a hug and tell you that he loved you.
Alex was a member of Charter Oak United Methodist Church. He worked as a Logistics Coordinator for R&R Express in Pittsburgh where he enjoyed his job and everyone he worked with.
Alex was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Gabriel and Mary Lou Naggy, his aunt, Nancy Bonanotte, and his cousin, Becky Muko, who was like a second mom to him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Jordyn Naggy, who he spent a lot of time with; maternal grandparents, Jordan and Connie Clausner; aunts, Gretchen Szelong (Wally) and Linda Kaputa; uncle, Armand Bonanotte; stepbrother, Blake Gibasiewicz (Kris); stepsister, Lacey Gibasiewicz; and cousins, Scott Szelong and his son, Henry, Alexa Szelong, Jena Wiltrout (Matt), Ally Kaputa, Gabrielle Nedzel (Andy) and their children Cecelia, Charlotte (goddaughter) and Catherine Nedzel: and also many friends from high school, college, and work, who Alex considered as family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Charter Oak Church, 449 Frye Farm Road, Greensburg. Services will be held in the church at 11:00 AM Friday with Pastors Chris Livermore and Ben Phillips officiating. Everyone is asked to please wear a mask and social distance.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Alex's name to Charter Oak Church, at the address above.
